Command Library

The Command Library provides access to many Axiom Software features. These commands can be used to customize the user experience of Axiom Software, by using the commands in the following contexts:

Axiom forms
Ribbon tabs
Scheduler (Execute Command Adapter task)
Task panes

When you are configuring a shortcut target for one of these items, the Command Library displays in the Libraries section of Axiom Explorer. The Command Library is only accessible at this time; it does not otherwise display in the "normal" view of Axiom Explorer or the Explorer task pane.

Commands are organized into folders by categories, such as Admin or File Options. You can also use the All folder to browse all commands.

For more information on any command, use the links in the table below or in the side navigation menu. The table below lists commands alphabetically, while the side navigation menu organizes commands using the same folder structure as the software.

About Axiom Software	Display the Axiom Software About box.
Active Cells	Change the locked status of the currently selected cell or cells.
Add Control Sheet	Add a control sheet to the current file.
Add Identity Record	Add a new record to an identity table.
Add New Sheet	Add a new sheet to the current file, based on a predefined sheet "template".
Add Plan File	Create a new plan file in an on-demand file group.
Add Rows	Add or change rows in a plan file using calc methods.
Add To Favorites	Add the current document to favorites.
Admin Group	Display the contents of the Administration menu group.
Advanced Group	Display the contents of the Advanced menu group.
Apply Control Sheet Settings	Apply protection and display settings as configured on the Control Sheet.
Apply Form State	Apply the current form state values to the active client spreadsheet.
Apply Shared Variables	Apply values for shared variables.
Archive Plan Files	Convert "live" plan files in a file group to static snapshots, for viewing only.
Auditing History	View audit history using the Axiom Audit Manager.
Axiom Explorer Dialog	Open Axiom Explorer to manage files and other components.
Axiom Explorer Tree View	Display the Axiom Explorer tree view.
Axiom Function	Insert an Axiom function into the current cell.
Cache Management	Refresh client and/or data caches.
Change Password	Allow users to change their Axiom password (Axiom prompt users only).
Change View	Apply a view to the current document.
Choose Data Element	Select an item from a reference table and place it into the current cell.
Close Axiom Software	Close the Axiom Software Desktop Client.
Close The Current Document	Close the current document.
CM Library	Use various calc method library management features.
Configure Task Pane Items Visibility	Configure the visibility of items in a specified task pane. This command is only for use in product systems. Consult your product documentation for more information on any asset that uses this command.
Connection Test	Perform a server connection test.
Copy File Group Security	Copy security settings from one file group to another.
Copy On Demand Plan Files	Copy plan files from one on-demand file group to another, creating new records in the target file group.
Create File Group from Prototype	Create a new file group by copying a product-delivered file group prototype. This command is only for use in product systems. Consult your product documentation for more information on any asset that uses this command.
Create New Report	Create a new report using the Report Wizard or a report template.
Create Restore Point	Create a restore point (document version) for the current file.
Create Table from Prototype	Create a new table by copying a product-delivered table prototype. This command is only for use in product systems. Consult your product documentation for more information on any asset that uses this command.
Data Migration	Open the Data Migration dialog to configure or execute a data migration.
Delete Plan Files	Delete unneeded on-demand plan files and their associated data.
Developer Group	Display the contents of the Developer menu group.
Developer Mode	Enable or disable Developer Mode.
Display Group	Display the contents of the Display menu group.
Download Form as PDF	Download the current form as a PDF file.
Drilling	Drill the data in the current sheet using drill down, drill through, or a custom drill.
Email Workbook	Email the current workbook as a snapshot or a hyperlink.
Excel Command Button	Include Excel features in a ribbon tab (valid in Excel Client only).
Execute Data Lookups	Execute a data lookup query in the current file.
Export Grid	Export the contents of a specified Formatted Grid or Data Grid component.
Export Plan Files	Export plan files to the local file system.
Favorites	Display the current user's saved favorites.
File Attachment	View and manage file attachments for a plan file.
File Group Rollover	Perform a file group rollover on a year-based file group, by creating a copy of the file group and incrementing the file group year.
File Options Group	Display the contents of the File Options menu group.
File Output Group	Display the contents of the File Output menu group.
File Processing	Perform file processing actions on the current file.
File System	Perform file system operations in the Axiom repository.
Filter Wizard	Display the Filter Wizard dialog to build a filter criteria statement.
Find Formula Errors	Find Excel formula errors in the current spreadsheet file.
Forms Explorer	Web Client navigation link to the Forms Explorer.
Forms Logout	Ends the current Web Client session.
Forms Menu	Enable, edit, and preview Axiom forms.
Freeze Panes	Toggle freeze panes on and off.
Goal Seek	Perform goal seek using the configured options.
GoTo Location	Jump to a GoTo bookmark in the current document.
Help	Open Axiom Software help.
Help Group	Display the contents of the Help menu group.
Import Plan Files	Import plan files from the local file system into the selected file group.
Imports	Display the Imports menu or create a new import.
Management Menu	Display the Manage menu from the Administration group.
Navigate to Report	Open a target Axiom form or web report, from within another Axiom form.
Navigation - Home	Web Client navigation link to the current user's home page.
Navigation - Report Designer	Web Client navigation link to the Report Designer.
Navigation - Table Manager	Web Client navigation link to the Table Manager.
Print	Print the worksheet, workbook, or plan files using Axiom Software printing features.
Process Action Codes	Process all unnamed action codes or a single named action code.
Process Alerts	Process alerts in the current document.
Process Management	Create and manage processes for Process Management.
Process Single Action Code	Display a menu of all ActionCodes tags in the current document, for individual processing.
Product Area Task Pane Placeholder	Display product-specific menu items in the Web Client when a product area is active. This command is part of the system-controlled ProductAreaTaskPane and should not be used otherwise.
Protection	Toggle workbook and worksheet protection on and off.
Quick Filter	Apply a Quick Filter to the current document.
Recent Items	Display the contents of the Recent Items folder.
Refresh Axiom Queries	Refresh the current file using various behavior options.
Reports	Access reports from the Reports menu or using the All Reports dialog.
Restore Deleted Files	Restore files that have been deleted.
Restore Prior Version	Restore a document version, replacing the currently open document.
Run Event	Run one or more Scheduler jobs by calling a named event.
Run QA Diagnostics	Run one or more diagnostics tests on the current document.
Save Document	Perform a save action on the current document.
Scheduler	Open the Scheduler dialog to create and manage jobs.
Security Administration	Use various security management features.
Separator	Display a separator in a Web Client navigation task pane.
Show Everything	Remove all document protections and unhide everything.
Show Form	Display an Axiom form as a task pane item.
Show Form Dialog	Show an Axiom form in a dialog.
Show Form Dialog Panel	Open a specified Dialog Panel component within an Axiom form.
Show Formula Bar	Show or hide the Formula Bar.
Show Headings	Show or hide spreadsheet headings in the current file.
Show Home	Show or open the Home file.
Snapshot Workbook	Take a snapshot copy of the current workbook.
Software Updates	Manage updates to platform and product features.
Table Administration	Use various table administration features.
Tools Menu	Display the contents of the Tools menu from the Administration group.
Upgrade File Group to Prototype	Update an existing file group using a product-delivered file group prototype. This command is only for use in product systems. Consult your product documentation for more information on any asset that uses this command.
User Process View	Display the Process Management task view for active processes.
User Workflow View	Display the Workflow task view for active workflows.
View Client Log	View the client log in a spreadsheet.
Workflow Administration	Open the Workflow Manager dialog.
