Imports command

Use the Imports command to display the contents of the Imports menu.

Can be used in

• Ribbon tabs
• Task panes

This command is included in the default AxiomMain.AXL ribbon tab, as part of the Administration group.

When the Imports command is selected from the Command Library as the shortcut target, it displays as command://AdminImports or command://AdminImportsCommandAdapter (legacy syntax).

Shortcut parameters

This command has a single shortcut parameter of Create new Import, which can be enabled or disabled.

• If disabled (the default setting), then the command displays the full contents of the Imports menu (filtered by the user's security permissions).
• If enabled, then the command displays the Create new Import feature, allowing users with the appropriate permissions to create new import utilities.

Visibility

Items using this command are only visible if the current user is an administrator, or if the current user has security permissions to access and/or create imports. You can use the Show restricted item option in the task pane or the ribbon tab to force items that use this command to be visible at all times (but grayed out if unavailable for use). Keep in mind that enabling this option for the Imports command will cause the Import menu node to be visible at all times, but not the individual menu items underneath it.

Remarks

The individual features displayed on the Imports menu are system-managed and will be updated to match the current state of the Axiom ribbon tab (filtered by the current user's security permissions). If you want to place individual imports on a custom task pane or a ribbon tab instead, then you can use a shortcut to the specific import file or folder.
