Visibility

This command does not depend on any security permissions or on any particular context. Items using this command will always be visible.

Using the Recent Items command in the Desktop Client

This command displays the contents of the user's Recent Items. The recently opened items display as a drop-down menu in ribbon tabs, and as an expandable/collapsible node in task panes.

The user can open an item from this location, but the user cannot clear the recent items history. If you want users to be able to clear history from a custom user interface, the recommended method is to use the Axiom Explorer Tree View command in a task pane. You can use the shortcut parameters for this command to only display the My Files area of Axiom Explorer, which includes Favorites, Recent, and My Documents (if applicable).

Using the Recent Items command in the Web Client

The Recent Items command can be used in web navigation task panes, to provide lists of links to display in the Web Client when viewing forms. The user's recent items display as an expandable/collapsible list of items in the navigation panel.

In this context, the list of recent items is limited to forms-enabled files opened within the Web Client. The Web Client recent items are tracked separately from the Desktop Client recent items. There is no way to clear the recent items history for the Web Client.
