Tools Menu command

Use the Tools Menu command to display the contents of the Tools menu.

Can be used in

• Ribbon tabs
• Task panes

This command is included in the default AxiomDesigner.AXL ribbon tab, as part of the Developer group.

When the Tools Menu command is selected from the Command Library as the shortcut target, it displays as command://ToolsMenu or command://ToolsMenuCommandAdapter (legacy syntax).

Shortcut parameters

This command does not have any shortcut parameters.

Visibility

Items using this command are only visible if the user is an administrator, or if the current user has a security permission that allows access to one of the individual items under the Tools menu. You can use the Show restricted item option in the task pane or the ribbon tab to force items that use this command to be visible at all times (but grayed out if unavailable for use). Keep in mind that enabling this option for the Tools Menu command will cause the Tools menu node to be visible at all times, but not the individual menu items underneath it.

Remarks

The individual features displayed on the Tools menu are system-managed and will be updated to match the current state of the Axiom ribbon tab (filtered by the current user's security permissions). It is not possible to control which features display when using the Tools Menu command; if you want to only show certain features then you should use the individual commands for those features.
