Show Everything command

Use the Show Everything command to turn off all protections and display controls in the workbook (such as workbook/worksheet protections, hidden sheets, frozen panes, etc.). This command is intended to assist in file development and testing efforts, by providing a single button to show everything in the file.

Can be used in

  • Task panes
  • Ribbon tabs

This command is included in the default AxiomDesigner.AXL ribbon tab.

When the Show Everything command is selected from the Command Library as the shortcut target, it displays as command://ShowEverything or command://ShowEverythingCommandAdapter (legacy syntax).

Shortcut parameters

This command does not have any shortcut parameters.

Visibility

Items using this command are visible if both of the following conditions are met:

  • The user is an administrator, or the user has Allow Unprotect permissions to the file (or the global Remove Protection permission).
  • The file is a managed spreadsheet file.

You can use the Show restricted items option in the task pane or the ribbon tab to force items that use this command to be visible at all times (but grayed out if unavailable).

Remarks

This command is intended to be paired with the Apply Control Sheet Settings command, to provide file designers with an easy way to disable protections and then reapply them.
