Axiom Function command

Use the Axiom Function command to insert an Axiom function into the current cell, and launch the applicable function wizard.

Can be used in

  • Task panes
  • Ribbon tabs

This command is included in the default AxiomDesigner.AXL ribbon tab.

When the Axiom Function command is selected from the Command Library as the shortcut target, it displays as command://FunctionGroup or command://FunctionGroupCommandAdapter (legacy syntax).

Shortcut parameters

This command uses the following shortcut parameters. These parameters are mutually exclusive; you must define one or the other but not both. If neither parameter is defined then the command will not perform any action.

Item Description
Function Group

Specifies a function group to display a list of related functions. Users can click on one of the functions in the list to insert that function.

The list displays as an expandable/collapsible node in task panes and as a drop-down list in ribbon tabs.

The function groups are the same groups that display in the built-in Axiom Designer ribbon tab. For more information about each group, see Using the Axiom Designer tab.

Axiom Function Name Specifies a particular function to insert when the command is used. You can select any Axiom Software function.

Visibility

Items using this command are only visible if the current file is a spreadsheet file. You can use the Show restricted items option for the task pane or the ribbon tab to force the item to be visible at all times (but grayed out if unavailable).
