Export Plan Files command
Use the Export Plan Files command to allow users to export plan files from the Axiom Software database, so that the files can be edited offline.
Can be used in
- Task panes
- Ribbon tabs
When the Export Plan Files command is selected from the Command Library as the shortcut target, it displays as command://ExportPlanFile or command://ExportPlanFileCommandAdapter (legacy syntax).
Shortcut parameters
This command uses the following shortcut parameters:
Mode | Description |
---|---|
File Group |
The file group from which users can export plan files. Click the folder icon to select a file group. You can choose any file group or file group alias. |
Require write access |
If enabled, users can only export plan files for which they have read/write access. Process management and workflow ownership rights are honored to determine whether a user currently has read/write access. If disabled, then users can export any plan files that they have access to, whether the access is read-only or read/write. However, read/write access is required to import plan files back into the system. Read-only export might be used to allow users to save local copies of the plan files for their records. |
Visibility
Items using this command are visible only if the user has access to the specified file group. You can use the Show restricted item option for the task pane or the ribbon tab to force the item to be visible at all times (but grayed out if unavailable).
Remarks
-
This command is intended to be used in conjunction with the Import Plan Files command, to provide the means to export plan files and then later import the files back into the system. For more information on this process and its limitations, see Exporting plan files for offline use.
-
The exported file is created in the same way as when using the Export feature in Axiom Explorer.
