Cash Flow report

The Cash Flow report summarizes data from the Cash Forecast and displays daily, weekly, and monthly summaries.

View the Cash Flow report

  1. On the Treasury Cash Management page, click Cash Flow/Working Capital Cash Flow Analysis.

  2. Click the applicable option to view Daily, Weekly, or Monthly summaries.

  3. Click any blue hyperlinked amount to open the Detail Drill window, which shows the details of the transactions that make up the total amount.

  4. Select the checkbox in the applicable column of the Detail Drill window. Transactions that meet all criteria for the line item are included in the applicable report. Clear the checkbox to exclude these transactions.

    NOTE: Selections that differ from the default settings are highlighted in orange.

  5. To temporarily exclude transactions, select the checkbox in the applicable column in the lower section of the Detail Drill window, titled Transactions Excluded from Cash Forecast & Cash Flow Analysis. Transactions that meet all criteria for the line item are excluded in the applicable report. Clear the checkbox to include these transactions.

  6. Click Clear Overrides to reset any selections and revert to the original amounts.

  7. Click OK to save any selections made in the Detail Drill window and return to the Cash Flow Report.

  8. Click Cancel to disregard any selections made in the Detail Drill window and return to the Cash Flow Report.

View cash flow analytics

  1. Click Cash Flow/Working Capital > Cash Flow Analysis > Cash Flow Analytics.

  2. Click the applicable option to view Daily, Weekly, or Monthly summaries.

Quantify potential yield opportunity

A company’s daily operating expenses and daily cash-on-hand limits are entered in Administration > Cash Flow/Working Capital > Manage settings. With that information, you can perform the following tasks on the Yield Opportunity page:

  • Analyze daily historical and forecast cash balances.

  • View daily excess cash balances.

  • Quantify potential yield based on user-defined assumptions.

  • Increase investment income.

Filter the data for potential investment opportunities:

  1. Click Cash Flow/Working Capital > Cash Flow Analysis > Yield Opportunity.

Modify filters

  1. At the top of the page, click the Filter icon ().

  2. On the Filters panel:

    • Under PlanCode Variables, select the applicable PlanCode from the Choose a PlanCode drop-down menu.

      NOTE: Available PlanCodes (single or group of bank accounts) are defined in Administration > Dimension Table Management > Manage bank accounts.

    • Under Yield Assumptions:

      • Select the assumed Interest Rate. (You do not need to enter a percentage symbol (%). This value allows two decimal places and defaults to zero.)

      • Select the assumed Days Cash On Hand Target.

        NOTE: This value defaults to “Days Cash on Hand – Lower Limit”), defined in Administration > Cash Flow/Working Capital > Manage settings.

      • Select the assumed number of Historical Calendar Days to Include. (This value defaults to 21.)

      • Select the assumed number of Forecast Calendar Days to Include. (This value defaults to 42.)

  3. To clear all filters, click Clear All.

  4. To apply the selected filter assumptions, click Apply.

  5. To clear the selection, click X to the right of the field.
