Feature map

This reference maps each item on the default Axiom ribbon tab to the individual command or shortcut that can be used to replicate that item on a custom ribbon tab or task pane.

This map is provided to assist task pane and ribbon tab designers in replicating functionality that is available on the default ribbon tab. The following tables detail the contents of the Axiom ribbon tab by group, from left to right.

File Groups group

For example, an end user only has a button that launches Open Plan Files, whereas an administrator has the full file group menu. This is the recommended approach if you do not need to link to a single specific file group feature; it ensures that all users will have access to the appropriate file group features. If your file groups belong to categories, you can create a shortcut to the category in order to display all file groups in that category. The file groups automatically display in Menu mode.
Open Plan Files	Shortcut to file group Select Open Plan Files option	For end users with no special file group permissions, using the Menu option and the Open Plan Files option will have the same effect. The only difference is the default text. The Add new file feature that is available within the Open Plan Files dialog (for on-demand file groups) can be placed directly on a task pane or ribbon tab by using the Add Plan File command. The clone feature does not have a direct equivalent; the user must launch Open Plan Files, select a plan file to clone, then click the Clone selected item feature.

There is no way to directly create a new utility from a custom task pane (though you could create a new report from the task pane and then save it to the appropriate utilities folder).
Process Definitions	N/A	There is no command that replicates the Process Definitions node for a file group.
Scenarios	Shortcut to file group Select New Scenario option	It is not possible to display the full Scenarios node on a custom task pane or ribbon tab (as it displays on the default file group menu). Attempting to create a shortcut to the Scenarios node is not supported. You can display already-created scenarios using the same method as regular file groups (shortcut to the scenario file group).
