Workflows tab

Use the PPE Workflow functionality in Physician Practice Evaluation (PPE) Reporting to distribute customized physician reports to reviewers. This tab keeps all the reports, comments, and reviews in a single location.

The following image illustrates a few potential configurations for workflows; however, workflows in Clinical Analyticsare fully customizable.

Set up the workflow

Name the workflow and decide whether to include annotations by any reviewer in the final report.

Reviewer hierarchy

Use Reviewer Hierarchy to set up levels and select reviewers for each level. Reviewers must be Clinical Analytics users. Physicians do not need to be Clinical Analytics users; they receive an email with their report attached after the workflow reaches the appropriate level. Physicians do not need to be selected in the Workflow, as they are selected in the Distribution.

Customize the workflow

  • To add a reviewer to a level, click + Add Reviewers and select one or multiple users.

  • To add a level to the visual, click + Add Level.

  • To delete a level or to delete a user, click the trash can icon.

  • To move reviewers from one level to the next, use the arrows in the top left corner of each user’s settings.

All settings in the previous image are the same for each reviewer and are defined in the following table.

Setting Description
Can Reject The user can reject the report after they review it.
Need Signature Requires the user to add a signature to approve the report.
Can Annotate The user can add comments to the report during their review.
Send Final File Includes a person on an email that contains a file with comments from each reviewer.

Email settings

This section includes three customizable preset emails that are sent to each of the reviewers throughout the review process. These emails are sent when a user has a pending review,and when a final reviewed file is available.

You can customize emails using available placeholders and define frequently email reminders are sent to reviewers.

Use the workflow

After you run the reports, the workflow process starts at level one. At that time, Health System Coordinators can view all workflows in process on their PPE Dashboard tab. Other users can only view workflows on which they are included on the Dashboard tab. See the Dashboard tab for information about the workflow process.
