Create a connection between Infor and Axiom using the ION API

Create a connection between Infor and Axiom to import your Infor data to Axiom staging tables, and then map the data for use by Axiom product tables. Infor CloudSuite version 11 or newer is required for this type of connection. An Infor ION API key is required to get started.

1. Check to ensure that the Infor import type is enabled within Axiom:

   1. In the Axiom Windows or Excel Client, create a new import ETL package.

   2. On the Source tab, confirm that the Infor option is available from the Import Type dropdown list. If this option is not available, please contact Axiom Support to enable this functionality.

      

2. Configure the required Infor user, service account, and security roles and permissions. As part of the initial setup, Syntellis and Infor will assist you with setting up these items within the Infor User Management. Please contact Axiom Support to schedule a review of this process.

3. After establishing the Infor ION API key, save the key within Axiom:

   1. In the Source tab of an Axiom Import ETL, select the Infor Import Type.

   2. Click the Create a New Connection icon.

      

4. In the New Connection dialog, enter a name for the connection.

5. Click in the Infor Key text field and enter the Infor API key that was generated when you set up the Infor service account, roles, and permissions.

   NOTE: Do not share this information or save it in text form. This information is encrypted during the New Connection save process.

   

6. Click OK.

   TIP: After you create an API connection in Axiom, you can use this connection key within different Import ETLs. Click the folder icon to open a list of existing API connections.
