Budget Variance data model

The Budget Variance visualization is based on the Budget Variance data model, which contains a starter set of GL Actual, GL Budget, and related fields from ACCT and DEPT Dimension tables. Data models are comprised of Axiom tables and measures. Fields in the tables are available in the data model for use in visualizations. For more information, see Designing models.

NOTE: To use data models in the Axiom Intelligence Center, you must have access to a system with a Visual Insights license and tables used in the data model.

  • Model measures – Precalculated measures used in the visualization

  • Dimension tables – Axiom Dimension tables converted into Pivot tables for use in visualizations

  • Data tables – Includes a limited set of data columns used in the model

Open the data model

  1. In the Web Client, navigate to the Intelligence Center.

  2. In the Models column, click the Budget Planning VI Models folder, and then click the Budget Variance model.
