Login experience
The login experience of users in the Syntellis Authentication Service depends on how your organization configured authentication.
Users access Axiom by going to a customer-specific Axiom web portal in a browser. Users must enter their username and password for their identity provider. After they are authenticated, if the username matches a username in Azure, the user can access the My Products page that lists Axioms systems with which the user is associated. Users can open the Axiom Web Client from the My Products page.
Customers with one identity provider configured
When navigating to an Axiom system, the user is directed to a customer-specific Active Directory login page. After the user authenticates, the system will navigate the user back to Axiom.
When navigating to a non-Axiom Syntellis system, the user is directed to a page which prompts them to enter their company email address. After providing their email address, the system navigates the user to a customer-specific Active Directory login page.
Customers with multiple identity providers configured or have local users
Syntellis Authentication Service can be set up for customers with multiple identity providers or local Microsoft Azure Active Directory users.
When navigating to an Axiom system, users are directed to a customer-specific Axiom web portal. The page displays login options for each configured identity provider. For customers with local Azure configuration, the page displays username and password fields to log in.
When navigating to a non-Axiom Syntellis system, users are directed to a page which prompts them to enter their company email address. After providing their email address, the system navigates the user to a customer-specific Active Directory login page.
Regardless of the number of identity providers or whether a customer is configured for local users, if a user navigates to the login page directly and logs in, they will open the My Products page that lists all the Syntellis applications they are entitled to access.
