Granting Unlocking Privileges

Any users who have unlocking permissions must generate their own unique user key. After generating keys, a System Administrator or Support staff member can grant unlocking privileges. User-specific keys are an extra level of security that we’ve implemented to better protect your patient information. Below are step-by-step instructions for granting unlocking privileges to users at your organization.

To grant a single user unlocking privileges

After the user has generated his or her key by following the steps in Requesting Unlocking Privileges, you can grant them unlocking privileges.

1. Use your own key to unlock Axiom Clinical Analytics.
2. From the Home page, select System Administration, then select the Users tab.
3. Find the user who needs unlocking privileges.
4. In the Actions column of that user, hover over the gear icon to expand the options, then select Manage Encryption Keys.
5. Check the boxes for the facilities you wish to give access to.
6. Click Submit.

The user can now unlock Axiom Clinical Analytics using his or her user-specific key and password.
