Managing FTP rate rules

The FTP > Manage Rules tab allows you to assign the FTP base rate methods that define how FTP rates are calculated. From there, you can optionally create rate rules to apply as adjustments to the base rates, or to calculate targeted FTP base rates for subsets of your products.

NOTE: The FTP base rate is generated for each instrument using standard FTP calculation methods. The methods are assigned to the instruments at a summary level, which is a grouping based on GL Account, product code, interest type, and whether or not the instrument is amortizing. If needed, you have the ability to create base rate rules that can apply to a subset of a groups, or to a range of instruments that spans these groups and that share common attributes impacting how FTP will be calculated. You can also create an unlimited number of rate rules to apply as rate adjustments to the base rates. Each instrument can have up to five rate adjustments, which are organized by adjustment category for analysis and reporting.
