Configuring the Other Rates driver

The Other Rates driver stores rates that will be used in the planning process. These rates include statistical driver rates and may be used for other types of rates as well. Statistical driver rates are used in the Non-interest sheet’s Axiom Non-interest Driver Based Growth calculation method.

The statistical driver rate uses the same account number as the GL account number for which the rate applies. The Non-interest sheet’s Axiom Non-interest Driver Based Growth calculation method looks up the statistical driver rates based on matching GL account numbers.

Configuring Other Rates

To configure Other Rates:

  1. From the Command Center home page, click Financial Planning.
  2. Open the budget, scenario, or forecast for which to edit the driver.
  3.  Click the Drivers & Assumptions tab.

  4. Click the Other Rates link.

    NOTE: The driver opens in the Desktop Client and displays the Other Rates sheet by default.

  5. Double-click Add New Row(s) to add one or more rows to either the Rate Description or Statistical Driver Rates sections, as needed.

  6. Place your cursor in the Rate Description section and enter rates as follows:

    Enter a unique description in the Rate Description column for each row.

    NOTE: Rates in this section are not used by standard product planning processes. Entered rates support the custom planning utility calculations.

    Base Year Actual MoYYYY

    Enter the rate percentage amount in each Base Year Forecast MoYYYY column.

    NOTE: Rate percentage amounts support Non-Interest Driver Based Growth calculation for each planning account assigned to this calculation method.
    Base Year Forecast MoYYYY

    [Optional] Enter the rate percentage amount in each Base Year Actual MoYYYY column.

    NOTE: Rate percentage amounts support Non-Interest Driver Based Growth calculation for each planning account assigned to this calculation method.

  7. Scroll to the Statistical Driver Rates section and populate each row as follows:

    Statistical Driver Rates
    Acct #         		Enter a planning account number in the Acct # column for each row.
    Base Year Actual MoYYYY Enter the rate percentage amount in each Base Year Forecast MoYYYY column.
    Base Year Forecast MoYYYY [Optional] Enter the rate percentage amount in each Base Year Actual MoYYYY column.

  8. Click the Save button on the Main ribbon to save your changes to the database.

  9. Close the Other Rates file when input is complete.
