Configuring the Job Codes driver
The Job Codes driver lists the job codes that link new employees to benefit plan codes or benefit amounts. It plays a less important role as a change in title to support a promotion record when entering salary adjustments.
A column is available for each benefit and bonus defined in the Benefits driver table. The entries made here will be mapped to new employees, and open positions using the job code assigned to them. Based on the drivers you assigned to each benefit, select benefit plans or enter benefit values in each column for each job code.
NOTE: Job codes are used to map benefit and bonuses to new employees and to open positions. Job codes are assigned in the Payroll table to existing employees and open positions and can be used to indicate a job change when budgeting a salary adjustment for a promotion. Job codes are also used for budget reports.
