Processing Customer Account Profitability allocations

The Customer Account Profitability > Process Allocations page allows you to calculate and process your allocations for the surveys you have created.

Calculating allocations

Unit rates are generated for each driver assigned to a responsibility. The unit rate engine calculates the expense to be allocated by the responsibility and allocates that expense to each driver based on its weighted driver volume compared to the total weighted driver volume for all of the responsibility’s drivers. The driver’s allocated expense is then divided by its total volume (count) and that is the unit rate.

Unit rates can be calculated once surveys are set up.

To calculate allocations:

  1. On the Customer Account Profitability home page, click Process Allocations.

  2. Click Calculate All.

  3. Click OK. The Calculated on and Calculate status columns will be updated.

Processing allocations

Once unit rates are calculated, you can process the allocations. This step generates allocated expenses for every customer account

To process allocations:

  1. On the Customer Account Profitability home page, click Process Allocations.
  2. Click Process All.
  3. Click OK. A confirmation message will appear when processing is complete, and the Processed on and Process status columns will be updated.

Reviewing calculated unit rates

When at least one survey has a Calculated on value, you will see a link below the Calculate All and Process Allocations buttons that reads Review calculated unit rates in profitability unit rate table. Click this link to open the Unit Rate Table in the Axiom Desktop Client.
