Quick Filter command

Use the Quick Filter command to allow users to apply a Quick Filter to the current report.

This command is included in the default AxiomMain.AXL ribbon tab, as part of the File Options group.

When the QuickFilter command is selected from the Command Library as the shortcut target, it displays as command://QuickFilter or command://QuickFilterCommandAdapter (legacy syntax).

Shortcut parameters

This command uses the following shortcut parameters:

Show advanced view	Optional. Specifies the default view of the Quick Filter dialog when opened. If disabled (default), then the Quick Filter dialog opens as normal to the Simple Filter view (hierarchy view). If enabled, then the Quick Filter dialog opens to the Advanced Filter view. In either case the user can still click the links at the top of the dialog to switch to the other view.

Visibility

Items using this command are visible if the currently active file is a managed report file. Otherwise, the item is hidden because it cannot be used.

You can use the Show restricted items option in the task pane or the ribbon tab to force items that use this command to be visible at all times (but grayed out if unavailable).

Remarks

If instead you want to apply a predefined Quick Filter to a report file when it is opened via a shortcut, you can use the Quick Filter shortcut parameter for reports. See Shortcuts to report files.
