Deleting plan file processes

You can delete a plan file process from a file group if it is no longer needed. A process definition cannot be deleted if:

  • The process is currently active. If it is active, it must be completed or stopped before it can be deleted.
  • The process is designated as the Plan File Process for an on-demand file group. The process must be removed from this setting in the file group properties before it can be deleted.

In order to delete existing process definitions, you must have Read/Write access to the folder it is located in (either the Process Definitions folder for the file group or a subfolder).

To delete a process definition from a file group:

  1. In the Explorer task pane, expand the file group and then expand the Process Definitions item.

TIP: You can also delete a process definition from Manage > Process Management > Process Definitions. In systems with installed products, this feature may be located on the Admin tab.

  2. Right-click the process definition and then click Delete.
