Feature limitations for the Windows Client

This topic details the feature-related limitations for the Windows Client. This refers to Axiom Software features that are available in the Excel Client but are not available in the Windows Client.

• The Windows Client does not support saving snapshot copies to Sharepoint when using file processing. You must use the Excel Client for processing if you want to deliver files to a Sharepoint portal.

• When using a hyperlink column, the Hyperlink functions generated for external files using the file protocol is not supported in the Windows Client. This is due to the limited support in the Windows Client for Hyperlink functions.

NOTE: This topic does not detail spreadsheet functionality differences between the Windows Client and the Excel Client. Because the Windows Client does not use Microsoft Excel, some spreadsheet functionality that is available in the Excel Client is not available (or works slightly differently) in the Windows Client.
