Applying software updates
You can apply software updates to your Axiom Software system by using the Software Updates tool in the Web Client. Using this tool, you can:

Upgrade the server components of your current Axiom Software platform installation. You can apply patch releases to the current version, or upgrade to a new version.

Install new products or upgrade existing products. Products are packaged sets of tables, file groups, reports and other components that work on the Axiom Software platform to provide a complete solution for a particular EPM activity.
Access to the Software Updates tool is limited to Axiom Software administrators and to users with the Administer Updates security permission.
Although it is possible to open the Software Updates page from within the Desktop ClientGeneral term for using either the Excel Client or the Windows Client, both of which are installed to the user's desktop. (using Manage > Software Updates), all client sessions should be closed before performing the software update. Therefore it is a good idea to get used to performing the updates entirely within the Web Client.
