Setting up CDM Summarization

The purpose of the CDM Statistics Summarization routine is to automate the monthly statistics collection process as well as use the Revenue and Usage data to define department key statistics used in Axiom Budgeting and Performance Reporting. After set up, run the Summarize CDM Statistics utility to summarize monthly key stats.

To set up CDM Summarization:

1. Open Explorer.

2. In the Libraries section, click Table Library > !Dimensions, and double-click CDMCODE.

   

3. Do the following in the CDMCODE dimension table:

   • You must review and complete columns related to budget workbooks before budget workbooks can be created.

   • To the extent possible, complete all columns for each element. The following table includes a description for each column:

     Column	Description
     CDMCode	This is the CDMCode used in Axiom Budgeting. Because this must be an alpha numeric field, the system will append all CDM codes with a “C” during the import process to ensure that they are alpha numeric.
     Description	Identifies the CDMCode description from the billing system. The description should be as explicit as possible, avoid abbreviations, and use layman’s terms.
     KeyStat	Identifies which CDMCodes to used for key stat calculation. Valid entries are “Yes” to count the code, or “No” to exclude the code.
     RVU	Identifies an Relative Value Unit (RVU) value for each CDMCode. The system uses the RVU value to weight each CDMCode for monthly reporting.
     IPStatAcct	If you are using this report, you must list a valid account number from the IP Statistic Acct dimension to post to when this utility is run each month.
     OPStatAcct	If you are using this report, you must list a valid account number from the OP Statistic Acct dimension to post to when this utility is run each month.

4. After making your changes, In the Main ribbon tab, click Save.
5. After on the CDMCODE dimension is properly coded, you can then run the Summarize CDM Statistics utility.
